Planning Up Front Is Key
Planning up front is the key to any successful construction project.
We work with our customers extensively before ground is broken to make
sure that we are all on the same page. We have to assess the customers'
goals and desires, establish their budgets, set their priorities and
arrive at the perfect plan and set of specifications for each individual
customer. We feel the next most important step is managing expectations,
on both sides. Contractors and customers each must understand what
they can expect from each other and what is expected of them. A clear
understanding of how the process works on a daily, weekly and monthly
basis, empowers customers in the process. As construction begins, communication
becomes paramount. We encourage weekly on-site meetings to discuss
design decisions and selections, to review progress, and to ask and
answer questions. This 'hands on' approach allows our customers to
feel even more control over this potentially confusing and frustrating
process. In the end, we are left with customers who have the home of
their dreams with all of the little personal touches that can only
occur as a result of a successful partnership between a talented contractor
and an informed, involved customer.
